Apps not updating without family manager password

So this is not apple updates but my son is trying to update some apps. NOT download. But every time it asks for MY password on HIS iPad we are both on iPadOS 18.2.1 does anyone have a solution?

Why do the apps not get automatically updated? If I don’t check regularly I need to put in my password 10,15, 25 times depending on how many apps need updating. Is it possible to skip password for app updates on my iPhone SE? On my iphone and iPad the settings are set to 'require a password to download apps'. Now, eventhough auto updates are selected on, my devices do not update, unless I actively prompt an update and then I also have to insert my password. Is this logical or just ridiculous? In the past it would update without any need for passwords. [Re-Titled by Moderator] Original Title: Require password for app-downloads, but please not for updates

Those applications have your Apple Account stored inside them. Log in with it or delete and redownload them.
