Animoji tap to resume error

So one day when I was going to send an Animoji, it showed the red button for a second but then it went away. Then, under the Memoji it said “tap to resume”, and when I click it, it makes the Memoji do what I do for a single frame, and then it just goes back to tap to resume. I am on the latest software (IOS 16.5) and restarted my iPhone multiple times. I know how to make an Animoji and had done it numerous times before but this time it doesn’t work. And this didn’t happen just one time it’s every time now. I have the iPhone 14 pro max so there’s no reason it shouldn’t work. But I do have a screen protector on that dose not have a hole for the dynamic island. Please help with this.
