Ventura back to Monterey?

Hi

Since upgrading to Ventura 13.1 OS my iMac is very slow, from reading about this it appears that it's probably because my iMac is older. How do I go about having Monterey OS again?

iMac 21.5″ 4K, macOS 13.1

First you should update to Ventura 13.4. It is a lot of trouble to downgrade to Monterey and it may not be necessary.

Install EtreCheck and post the report. Allow Full Disk Access.

It may reveal what the issue is.

Since Ventura's most current version is 13.4, I'd try that before attempting to revert back to Monterey.
