How can I convert/export a slideshow I created in Photos to be iMovie? Previous solutions suggested here do not work. In the slideshow, the option to export is available, but not to export slideshow (grayed out). The other solution was to opt for "send to iTunes" and move to iMovie project by importing the exported file from folder. I am not seeing this option available either. Thanks for any help!
You didn't provide details, but it looks like you may be trying to export a slideshow from a Photos Album. If so, that cannot be done. You must first control click on the Album title in the sidebar and, from the dropdown menu that appears, click on Create/Slideshow/Photos to create a slideshow Project. Then you can export the slideshow project by clicking on the Export box at the top right of the slideshow screen. That will create an .m4v movie file that can be imported into iMovie. I'm using a little older version of Photos, but I believe that the same procedure is available in the newer versions. If not, there should be a similar procedure to create a slideshow project and export from there. In whatever version of Photos that you are using, open the Help menu and type in Create Slideshow and you will be presented with a step by step description.
