Safari with images from Alien's Moon? Please help me to fix it.

Suddenly, Safari stars to render distorted images. Like the inconvenient scrambled video transmissions from the surface of a planet to the space ship in the most inconvenient time.

Is there a way to fix this, Apple?

Thank you!

Safari's new feature rendering (can I get the old way?)

Hi givemeabrake,

Thanks for the additional info, as that is very helpful. Let's try another troubleshooting step, to see if we can get this resolved, or isolated further.

What we want to do is try starting up in safe mode, as safe mode does some system checks, and can sometimes resolve issues. How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

It may take longer to finish the start up, and you'll also see some differences in the display. This is expected with safe mode, and when you restart normally, they'll be gone.

Test with the websites you were having issues with.

Then restart normally and try those webpages again.

Let us know how this testing goes, and if the system checks resolved the issue.

Thanks!

Hey givemeabrake,

Does this happen with a specific website or all the sites you visit? Also, what device are you having this issue with? Depending on the device, we can provide you with the correct steps.

If it's happening only with one specific website, then we recommend that you test it out with another web browser to make sure it's not happening with just Safari. If it's happening with other web browsers, the issue might be coming from the website and you'll need to contact the web developer for further assistance.

If it happens with all websites, try clearing the website history and cookies. Keep in mind that this will clear all your website history and cache in Settings. Depending on the device you're having this issue with, check out the following articles below for steps:

Let us know how it goes!

Best regards.

Thank you so much, BrianK90!

Sorry for not being more "technical" when describing my (and many others) issue.

I'm in a iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)

3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5

32 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

AMD Radeon R9 M380 2 GB

Monterey 12.6.6 (21G646)

The issue occurs on my 2 identical iMacs and the MacMini

It doesn't happen with other browsers (FF, Edge anywhere)

It does happen in some websites, not all of them. (as far I have noticed)

I cleared all history, cookies, to no avail.

In the MacMini, Safari has no extensions in addition to no history or cookies. All data was cleared, and yet it happens on it and on the other 2 Machines.

I have noticed that happens mostly, (but no exclusively) in images that change continuously, like in a slideshow or when you hover on one image to see a detail of it or a variation (like in IKEA).

Ah. Yes. Apple Support.

Actually, I was looking for a work around to avoid buying 4 new Macs.

In my experience, most of the time they tell you your equipment is obsolete after keeping you on the phone for hours. They are payed for that by Apple, and the users have to pay for the time by themselves.

That's their "green-way"

Anyways.

And yes.

I tested it accordingly and the result is exactly the same:

I just will keep updating this thread hopping someone has an answer that wants to share.

And by the way, who is "we" as in "....then we'd advise to contact Apple Support"?
