When doing a search within Mail, the search defaults to all mailboxes rather than just within the displayed mailbox. Is there an option to initially search within just the displayed mailbox?
I'm running macOS 13.4 (22F66) on a Mac Studio M1.

Even worse is that a search cannot be initiated with Command-F, one has to click the magnifying glass...
Cmd-opt-F.
Cmd-F is Find.
You might be able to swap that with a custom keyboard shortcut for Mail. The search window command is titled, "Mail Search" and Find is just "Find".
Not as far as I know. Even worse is that a search cannot be initiated with Command-F, one has to click the magnifying glass... I'd love to be proven wrong in both cases, so if anyone knows best, please do tell!

Thank your for this. I did NOT have this on my mac - Mailbox Search did not have any keyboard shortcut associated.
But then I realized that this happened becaused I had assigned this same shortcut to something else.
