How do I stop sharing my location with my contacts emergency sos?

Unable to stop sharing location. I wish to stop sharing location with a specific contact on “find my” I am well aware of how to do it. With any other contacts I am sharing location with I simply tap the red “stop sharing my location” and it stops and becomes blue “share my location” however, with this one contact it will not stop sharing. Sometimes it flicks to the blue writing but then immediately flicks back to the red “stop sharing your location” I had this contact blocked and tried unblocking them but thy did not work. It is likely they have also blocked me but this is a serious problem! I need to be able to stop sharing my location with them and know it has worked!! Again… it works perfectly with anyone else I have shared location with. This needs sorting immediately

How to turn off location sharing for specific contacts? How do you turn off sharing your location for a specific contact and not the entire phone contacts?

Stop sharing location with singular person If I stop sharing my location with somebody, it will show that person in our text thread that I stoped sharing my location with them. I do not want to make it so obvious to the other person that I stopped sharing my location. Apple, this feels like a huge privacy issue.

Press and quickly release VOLUME UP

then

Press and quickly release VOLUME DOWN

then

Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears (15-30 seconds), ignoring "slide to power off" if it appears

The operative word here is QUICKLY; and try it a couple of times, the timing is a little tricky.
