ECG missing on Apple Watch 4

The ECG on my Apple Watch 4 has disappeared. I’ve tried everything to recover it, but no luck.

Is this fraud? Has Apple sold me a watch to monitor my health, then eliminated the single distinctive feature that does that, thereby forcing me to purchase a new watch? This feels like fraud since I can’t recover the ECG and nowhere on apple.com does it tell me how to do that.

First try the steps in the 'Install and set up the ECG app\' section of:

Take an ECG with the ECG app on Apple Watch - Apple Support

The next (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

How to restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

I’ve done all of that. I bought a new phone, shut down the watch, paired it again with the new phone, which was extremely difficult. It took about 30 times, doing the exact same steps, to get it to pair. Updated the software. Tried going to the health app, nothing there. Reloaded the health app. Nothing works. Can’t find ECG anywhere.

I filed a complaint with the FTC.
