Transfer apple account balance to Apple Cash

Funds from an Apple Gift Card are not eligible to be transferred.

Just did this. Call Apple and they can refund the money added to the Apple account back to the payment method used to add it. It can take up to 48hrs to get the refund, but you can track the status of the refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com(I think that is the site). Good luck!

Call Apple Support at 1-800-MY-APPLE and request the transfer be reversed and put back onto the original account. Once in the original account, you can transfer them to Apple Cash or wherever you want.

Funds in Apple ID Account are non-transferable. Do you have funds in Apple Cash account you want to transfer? Apple Account and Apple Cash Account are two different financial instruments from two different companies.

Generally, the funds can be refunded/transferred back to original funding source. In other words if funds originally came from a gift, funds go back to the gift card. If funds originally came from a debit card or bank account, funds are returned to the account. What cannot be done is refund/transfer funds from a gift card to a bank account.

Please call 1-800-MY-APPLE to start the process. Funds are usually available in 48 to 72 hours.

I know this is really late in the year, but the same thing happened to me. 4/9/24 I put 200 on because I was trying to give it to somebody and it went to my Apple account and I didn’t even know an Apple account existed. I tried to put it on my Apple Cash and I couldn’t so I had to take out another 200 so I was down $400 anyway I was stressing about it really bad that I don’t let my stress levels get to point so I just let it go. But today 4/21/24 like about two weeks later searching up answers and talking to people and all you have to do is call Apple support and get to somebody who can understand if you speak Spanish get someone who speaks Spanish if you speak English somebody who is born and raise English so you can understand every word they’re saying And they CAN refund it but you have to have the exact same amount and it will take up to 30 or 90 days for the transaction to get back to you but it’s a 50-50 chance it will work or not and it works for me so I’m trying to help everyone because that is just sketchy that they have two accounts.

Yes, I was correct. You can't transfer them out of account balance.

Read my original reply from several months ago. You can't unless you qualify for the special circumstances I mention in the reply. You haven't necessarily wasted it, but you will need to use it buying either apps, subscriptions, or media from the Apple stores.
