The specifications for an Apple Macbook Air 2014 state that it has 2 USB3 ports. If yours does not then you don't have a 2014 Macbook Air:

The specifications for an Apple Macbook Air 2014 state that it has 2 USB3 ports. If yours does not then you don't have a 2014 Macbook Air:
