Problem with file printing

I am having a random problem with printing a jpg file. It occurs with both an iMac and a MacBook Pro sending the file to both an HP Photosmart 6510 and a Brother HL-L2340DW [b&w laser].


I get about 25cm of the top of the image - like this:



This is a file downloaded from FMP and is one of a pair of files relating to a single subject [1921 Census]. The other file prints perfectly.


How do I correct this? It happens occasionally which suggests it's a bad file. I've tried exporting it as a pdf but that produces the same result. The file displays properly on both computers.

iMac 27″, macOS 10.13

Yes, that's often the case. 😎

The png version worked perfectly and if you then export the png back to jpg that works as well!
