Desktop shortcut keeps disappearing form my Finder sidebar shortcuts.

As simple as that sounds. I have a work laptop I use every/all day, and my personal one which I use in the evening or sometimes don't touch for a full day. The issue is with this personal Mac I use less frequently. It's a 2021 16" MacBook Pro M1 Max running Ventura 13.2.1 (22D68).

The issue is that the Desktop shortcut keeps disappearing from my Finder sidebar shortcuts. So I proceed to re-drag/drop a desktop shortcut to the Finder sidebar shortcuts, or click Finder > Settings > Desktop is always unchecked again, like so:

I then re-check it, and after some time of inactivity, 24-48h, I go an re-use my MBP, and the desktop is gone again. At one point, more time had passed from me using the computer, and most of the sidebar items were gone and I had to manually re-add them, but it's mostly the Desktop disappearing daily. Thanks for the help.
