wired headphones no mic

Hi, I want to figure out how to sing along & record with music on my iPhone.

The internal mic on the iPhone is decent enough quality, but when I bought my wired headphones, it uses the headphone mic which is very bad quality.

I can’t use my AirPods because of the delay.

is there a product that I should be using? I don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a fancy microphone etc. when the internal iPhone one is good enough for what I need - but all the wired earbuds I seem to find that work with my iPhone (14) have the dodgy mic!
