New Apple Watch ultra not tracking/closing activity ring

So far on two of my four workouts it has not tracked the activity completely in the activity ring . The very first time, nothing tracked.

i just took a brief bike ride and it tracked 21 of 38 minutes.

I’ve checked settings, recalibrated before this latest test bike ride.

The watch is about a week old
