Hello ssrobichaux,
Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are unable to add an email account to a MacBook Pro. Just to make sure, are you following the steps listed here: Add or remove email accounts in Mail on Mac - Apple Support
Also, since you are getting an authentication error, this could be a network related error, so see if a VPN could be related to this situation: Check VPN (Virtual Private Network) and third-party software to help resolve network connectivity issues - Apple Support
Cheers!
I was having issues with my Mac Mail duplicating my emails since switching to Ventura. I deleted both my email accounts from Mac Mail and re-added them. Unfortunatly I am having the same issue as you, authentification failed message. I contacted Rogers support and they are no longer supporting adding Rogers mail accounts to Mac Mail. They want you using their cruddy web based Yahoo service. Apparently their authentication program has had issues since April '23. They don't seem to be in a hurry to fix it.
I have heard the same (that Rogers doesn't support MacMail anymore). I don't understand how Yahoo mail can't work with the MacMail app, but the mail app on iPhones does work? It just constantly fails authentication.
