Thanks for that info TPL2008,

The fact is shows purchased, not downloading, might be a few reasons:

  1. It already downloaded. Sometimes with a good internet connection, not may install quickly. Search your device to see if it went into a folder.
  2. You are out of space. Once you make space, it may try to install. This should be the same, as the iPhone and iPad operating system is the same: Move from your current iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a lower capacity device - Apple Support
  3. Try to restart your device, then search for it: Restart your iPod touch - Apple Support
  4. If you still have issues, try a force restart, see if anything is stuck: Force restart iPod touch - Apple Support

Next, see if you can download anything, even if it's from the iTunes Store or a previously purchased app. If not, you might have an issue with that wireless network you are connected to. Try connecting to your iPhone Hotspot in Settings > Wi-Fi to test. How to set up a Personal Hotspot on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Try the troubleshooting here too: If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services - Apple Support

If it works with your iPhone Hotspot, then it's an issue with that wireless network. Try again when you get to another known good wireless network that meets these requirements: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support

Cheers.

When I go into the App Store to download a new app, it acts like it is going to install it, but just says the word PURCHASED. Then nothing happens. It never installs. However, apps I already have installed will update. This issue only started after updating to iOS 15.7.7. Someone please help or see if this can be checked into a software issue.
