My pictures won’t open in messenges

The title of your post "My I phone is not uploading pictures" suggests that you may not be able to send photos to others, while the message of "My pictures won’t open in messenges" suggests that you're not able to open ones that are sent to you.


If the issue is with sending photos, review the troubleshooting in If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone or iPad to see if any of those errors describe what you see and the steps to take. Make sure that you have the MMS feature (which is a service supplied by your carrier) enabled to send photos to non-Apple devices per Send photos and videos in Messages on iPhone and contact your carrier if the problem only affects non-Apple contacts.


For opening or viewing pictures, View photos and videos shared with you on iPhone is the best support article. If the images have an arrow next to them, they may need to be downloaded before you can view them. Ensure your device has sufficient storage available if this happens regularly.
