Lexar USB-C 128G

This USB-C ejects unprompted after a minute being used. It happens only on desktop iMACs. Does not happen on MACBook Pro.

External drives self-ejecting improperly Both my new 5TB Seagate Portable HDD (TM backup drive), and my new 2TB Samsung SSD (data) USB-C drives are self-ejecting improperly at random intervals from my 4-month old Macbook Pro 16" (running latest MacOS, Sonoma 14.3.1), despite swapping in new cables, switching ports, connecting only one drive at a time, rebooting the Macbook and adjusting the Settings to allow USB connections without asking. This problem of random drive self-ejections (on various Mac machines and with different MacOS versions) has been reported on this and other fora for several years, but it doesn't appear that Apple has yet addressed it. My Apple store tech suggests it could be a USB bus bug on my MacBook Pro and he's sent it out for a bench analysis, so we'll see...

USB-C port HI, 2 months ago i buy Macbook pro m2 13" and today one of two usb c port stop woeking ? somebody have this problem?

If a USB device is not working with your Mac, you can try these steps: If a USB device doesn’t work with Mac

You can try testing out safe mode to see if any 3rd party software may be causing the connection issue.

Start up your Mac in safe mode

It's also a good idea to make sure the computer is up to date.

Update macOS on Mac
