Remote Desktop Full screen, Screen Switching problem

Hello,

I am trying to use Windows Remote Desktop on my new Macbook Air M2 15". It works fine in a standard size window, but as soon as it goes to full screen, it moves it to a new "space", which is fine, I like using spaces, except that it switches back to the main "space" almost immediately, and then i get stuck in limbo. Every time I switch back to remote desktop it immediately reverts back to the main window, and I have to try and time it to hit the minimize button in time.

I have tried switching off all the system preferences regarding mission control (automatically rearrange spaces based on most recent use) and nothing works. My coworker doesn't have this issue, his mac is from December, so perhaps this has to do with a very recent update?

You can get his version and compare the two if you wish. But what will you do if his version is earlier than yours, or the same?

No two Macs are identical and no two operate exactly alike even if their specs and versions are the same.

My experience having been a Windows [ corporate] power user for a couple of decades is pick one or the other, Windows or Apple, and stay within that platform. Whenever I mix the two, I'm never really satisfied. OneDrive for instance. I tried OD on my five Macs but it never worked well. For that matter, even MS Office is not perfectly suited to the Macs compared to its Windows cousins.

My advice is to avoid full screen. The gain in actual viewable area is minimal and I had to keep going getting out to use the menu. as is the usual case, YMMV.
