iPad/Router connection issues

My new XFINITY router(changed 3 times) won’t allow any of my 4 apple devices to do software updates or do a auto/manual iCloud backup.

States poor Wi-Fi connection yet all other devices are working fine.

Had XFINITY do multiple resets etc and it works for an hour then back to not working.

Had an XFINITY tech at my home and not able to resolve long term and his Apple device didn’t back up either.

I take my devices to my neighbors and all work flawlessly. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hello Mastejr,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities and for sharing all these details. You've done a great job in explaining your current issue. You did mention that you have no issues going to your neighbors house to update on their network. We do recommend that you make sure that your XFINITY networks are using the recommended settings for your devices. You can find them here: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support

Additional steps you can try or check:

1.) Make sure your devices don't have any VPNs. This can cause communication interference: Check VPN (Virtual Private Network) and third-party software to help resolve network connectivity issues - Apple Support

2.) Try resetting your Network Settings. On iOS/iPadOS 16, tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you’ve used before. If you're using iCloud Keychain, these settings are also removed from other signed-in devices.

We hope these steps help you out. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Take care.
