Since last December I have been unable to receive SMS on iPhone 14pro. This means no 2 factor OTP codes for banking, paypal, etc. Senior support is supposed to be working on this but come on, 7 months??? They keep telling me I’m the only one they know of with this problem but I see here, there are MANY. Any suggestions?

It does not sound like you are getting accurate information. SMS does not travel over WIFI, so any router change will have no effect. The SMS service is a service provided by your carrier and they are usually the ones that need to get involved if you are unable to receive them. Usually it is a configuration problem with the cell provider not having the correct IMEI number or If the phone number was previously set up with an Android phone, it may be set to use RCS messaging instead. Contact your cell provider and see what they say.

1) Sign-out from Apple Messages.
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > [AppleID][Your AppleID]* > Sign Out
(*) This appears is very small text below the section entitled “Start New Conversations From”
2) De-register your mobile number from iMessage:

3) Force restart your iPhone:

4) After restarting the iPhone, sign-in to Apple Messages:
This did not work. Also nothing apple has done has worked. They tried telling me my router was stopping them. I replaced the router, it still happened. Apple then sent me another new router (so now this is the third router) still the same thing. Apple refuses to believe it is their ****** e sim or programming exclusive to such since the other 5 iPhones that reside in my house work fine. They are all 11’s and 12’s. But all 14’s that have been in my house won’t allow sms.
Io ho un IPhone 11Pro ma ho anch’io lo stesso problema; ma solo con gli OTP di Nexi: mentre quelli della mia Banca e quelli di PAYPAL funzionano benissimo. Non può essere un problema di incompatibilità tra sistema IOS e sistema dell’altra parte???
