Storing Final Cut Pro files in the Cloud

Final Cut Pro file are unable to open from a cloud based platform, including Apple's own iCloud. This is not true of files created in Adobe Premiere or other video software files. Does anyone know the reasoning behind this FCP limitation?

We know that. It is a good thing. As Tom said, cloud storage is absolute NOT adequate for something that requires fast throughput like video.

You'd probably be here asking why your project was showing the beachball all the time...

Think about it: have you ever tried working on a project in 4K with a USB2 drive? Now cloud storage is typically much slower than that....
