it appears my wife’s iPhone 14 pro has the capability of two physical, nano Sim cards and An eSim
If Hong Kong, iPhones are only physical sim cards as stated in this thread.
Two months ago my Hong Kong wife bought an iPhone 14 pro, from the fortress outlet in Hong Kong.
She has two physical nano Sim cards in the phone that work.
And she purchased a 7 Day esim , for Taiwan.
she used this data eSIM while she was on holiday in Taiwan last month.
can anyone please explain this?

You don’t. There is no eSIM in a phone sold in Hong Kong. Phones sold in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Macau take 2 physical nano-SIM cards.
If the model is for the Hong Kong market, it will not have eSIM capability. It will be equipped with dual Nano SIM capability.
Unfortunately many iPhone lines that are sold with eSIM elsewhere (including the most recent ones) do not feature eSIM capabilities on their Hong Kong variants.
Take it up with the store that sold you the phone. If you still have the phone in your possession, they aren't going to give you your money back.
I’m 8000 miles away. I offered to mail it back. Up to the card company now.
Again, I’m just outlining my approach to gaining redress after being duped by a global company selling detuned versions of its tech in various markets. That’s all. I don’t you need to role play Apple.
Great ! Would you please tell us where she purchased the eSIM through ? and app like Airalo or carrier store or what ?
Thanks in advance.
I bought a 14 in Hong Kong. I said I used esims and no one ‘fessed up that this was a problem. Seeking a credit card charge back for obvious misrepresentation.
This is a user to user forum, no one in here can refund your money.
Again, you will need to take this up with the store that sold it to you. It will be up to them if they want to refund you.
