Does transparent thin lamination on back of phone damages it in any context?

Hi there,

I'm using iphone 14 pro max from last three months. And from the day I bought it, I laminated the back of my phone using a transparent paper that was a very thin paper. So I don't personally thought at the time of lamination that it would be having any negative effects on the phone.

But after using three months, now I am personally feeling that the phone is heating a little bit up (I live in a hot environment). So I think that phone is getting a lot more warmer coz of the back lamination. I am just confused that if that increased phone temperature is because of the lamination on the back of my iPhone, or it's just coz of the environment. Also, I want to ask you that is laminating the back of iPhone good or bad./ I mean, is it good or bad for the health of iphone. If it's good for it, then its ok, But if it's not good for the battery and the overall performance of phone, then I can remove it without any problem. So please let me know your thoughts about it.

Ps. I'm attaching a photo of the lamination on the back of my ip14PM.

In general, transparent thin lamination on the back of a phone does not damage it in any way. In fact, it can actually help to protect the phone from scratches and other minor damage. However, there are a few potential downsides to lamination that you should be aware of.

First, lamination can make the phone slightly more difficult to remove from a case. This is because the lamination adds a thin layer of material between the phone and the case, which can make it more difficult to get a good grip.

Second, lamination can trap heat. This is because the lamination creates a barrier between the phone and the outside air, which can prevent the phone from dissipating heat as easily. This could potentially lead to overheating, especially if you are using your phone for extended periods of time in a warm environment.

Finally, lamination can eventually peel away from the phone. This is usually due to exposure to heat, moisture, or other environmental factors. If the lamination peels away, it can leave the phone vulnerable to scratches and other damage.
