iMessage not working after having eSim as dual sims

After changing my personal number to eSim, and use dual sim for work phone, my iMessage stopped working for either number. And in Settings-iMessage, both numbers are waiting for Verification and don't know how to verify though...

I can't send iMessage to group chat where all users are on iphones. Previously has been working fine with just my personal sim.

I’m using a 13Pro on iOS17.4.1 and just changed my personal number to eSim and have a second number on a physical sim. I, too, cannot get iMessage and Facetime to activate for my personal number (I do not use these functions on the secondary number). I have logged out of the device and back in with my Apple ID with no success. I’ve also switched off the options, restarted phone and then tried switching on functions again - no success. Any other suggestions, please?

I had the same problem - lost access to imessage with my o2 number. Could still use it with my Apple ID but not the number. I just got the error message when I tried to select the number in both iMessage and Facetime.

The solution was to call O2 and get them to issue a new eSIM QR code. I deleted the old eSIM, added the new one and everything is now working normally with both iMessage and Facetime.
