Take a screenshot by pressing Command + Shift + 4 which will place a screenshot on your Desktop (default location unless you have changed it...you will hear a camera shutter click if volume is not muted). View the screenshot making sure to move the picture down a bit so you can verify whether the lines also appear in the screenshot, or view the screenshot on an external display or another device.

If the lines do not appear in the screenshot, then you have a hardware issue with the laptop's built-in Display which will need to be repaired.

If the lines do appear in the screenshot, then the issue may possibly be due to some software issue or rendering, or it may indicate a hardware issue with the GPU which would require replacement of the Logic Board. Do the lines appear when another app (not a web browser since they can produce graphical effects if using hardware acceleration) is in focus....maybe see if the issue occurs with Text Edit open? Maybe try rebooting the laptop to see if the lines go away or if they are still there when logging in again. Even if the lines go away, they may still come back if it is a GPU issue or a software issue, so keep an eye on things. You can try running the Apple Diagnostics to see if any hardware issues are detected. The diagnostics rarely detect problems so a passing diagnostic doesn't really mean much, plus the diagnostic won't report any issues if the problem is with the laptop's buit-in Display Assembly.

A faulty Display Assembly is usually easy to detect because of the screenshot test, but any other issue such as GPU failure or software issue can be harder to figure out & differentiate.

If it is a hardware issue, then you want to be sure to get it repaired during the warranty period.

Edit: Keep in mind different colors on the screen may tend to hide the lines, so it is important to try putting different colors in the area where the lines have shown up in the past. For example, if the lines are always that shade of gray/black, then you will only be able to see them on light color screens....if the lines change color, then you may need to have something darker open in the area where the lines have been seen (perhaps even a different color as well).
