Changing the Nickname set for my Apple ID

Years ago I had a family member set up my Apple ID and as such they used their own information. I have been able to change every other aspect of my account (i.e. name, email, phone number etc.) but not the nickname.

Is there a way to alter the nickname on a Windows PC?

Cheers

Just test it for you from my Windows OS 10 laptop:

  • Start iTunes -> Account -> select & tap View My Account.
  • Sign in with your Apple ID.
  • Then scroll to the "Settings" section and click "Edit nickname"
  • A screen will appear with your ''current'' nickname, which you can change.
  • Then click 'Submit'
