In Pages 11.2 how to get a table to span on multiple pages?

I need to make a big table on several pages, but it just stops at one so I have to build another one on each sheet. All the text that can't feet the page (if there is too much text) just disappears in the bottom of the table like in the pocket (it is there, but it can't be seen, if I delete a text above, then my text from below appears).

How do I get Pages to start the table on one page and span the table onto the next page?

Pages does not split text in rows over to the next page as does Microsoft Word or LibreOffice Writer. If you want the table rows to advance beyond the current page, then you need the Text Wrap on the Arrange panel to show Inline with Text, the default setting when the table is first inserted.

Thank you, VikingOSX - have tried Libre Office - the table works! Is there a way I can do the document so that it looks the same on Word when other people receive it? (except saving in PDF) In Libre Office it looks mostly same but have more space on the top and bottom of each page. Anyway the table works - and it's already great!

What do you mean "the table rows to advance beyond the current page" if "Pages does not split text in rows over to the next page"? (Looks the same for me). " the Text Wrap on the Arrange panel to show Inline with Text, the default setting when the table is first inserted" - this option is already on and it looks like it doesn't change anything. Can't see the difference...

About all you can do in LibreOffice is to use v7.5.4 (or later) if compatible with your version of macOS. It is a Word clone, so may not present the exact table appearance that the real MS Word does. Look into your top and bottom margin settings in LibreOffice Writer to see if that improves vertical appearance.

I would say this about Pages too — that if your target audience is MS Word users, then you should be using Word yourself to share the actual native Word document layout. Exporting from Pages (a translation) or saving from LibreOffice Writer can introduce content that MS Word may handle differently than planned.
