If you have your HomePods set up as a stereo pair, you can unlink them using the steps here: Set up a HomePod stereo pair - Apple Support
"Unlink a stereo pair
- In the Home app on your iOS or iPadOS device, tap the paired speakers.
- Scroll down, then tap
