What is Tab Group Favorites in Safari used for?

Under Apple Bookmarks what is Tab Group Favorites used for? How is it different from saving something under Favorites?

You can save all of your open tabs as a group to quickly recreate them in Safari. The Favorites only saves one site, while the tab groups will save all of your open tabs.
