Stacks on Desktop

All of my stacks are expanded on my MacBook Pro desktop. How do I collapse them all? I am using Monterey 12.6.7.

Stacking files and folders on desktop Files and folders stacks on top of each other in the top right corner when moved or just created. And I've tried multiple suggestions by clicking 'Snap to Grid', sorting by whatever, and going into 'Show View Options' as well. It only gets fixed momentarily and the problem comes back. It's quite annoying to be on the Macbook Pro, when it does this all the time. And it's been several updates since it first started. And the issue hasn't been resolved yet.

Keeping multiple windows open/stacked I have Monterey 12.6. I used to be able to keep mail, calendar and safari open and stacked on my screen and toggle between them. Suddenly (i.e. past month) I cannot keep more than two. I did not change anything, but did do updates to software. What happened, and how can I get back to my preferred viewing?

MACBOOK PRO DESKTOP ITEMS SNAP BACK TO ORIGINAL POSITION -- ANNOYING! When I move folders, etc, on my M1 MacBook Pro, the folder snaps back to its original position. Very annoying. I found an old thread where George said -- open up Finder -- under VIEW click on SHOW VIEW OPTIONS -- and change the option from SNAP TO GRID to NONE. Desktop folders snap back in place - Apple Community I don't see this option on my MacBook Pro M1 - SNAP TO GRID to NONE. So how do I stop these folder from snapping back now? Thanks!

RIght or control-click on your Desktop. This will open a Finder secondary menu on which is Stacks.

Make these selections and see if the debris consolidates back into stacks.
