Hi there jxyy210,

Based on what you've described as happening, and the screenshot you've shared, we believe the following steps will be helpful in isolating the issue so we can work toward resolving it. Try each step in order, testing between each:

  1. Restart your Mac: Shut down or restart your Mac - Apple Support. This step often resolves a variety of issues on its own.
  2. Boot into safe mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support. It is expected to see some display anomalies while in safe mode, but it is helpful as it will run a scan of your disk while booting, and make repairs where it can. This process alone may resolve the issue.
  3. See if it occurs in another user account: Add a user or group on Mac - Apple Support. This will tell us if it's a system-wide issue, or if it is specific to your user account.

Don't hesitate to respond back if you still need help.

Cheers!
