Anyone ever encounter an airline ticket purchase pending transaction disappear a few days later from your apple pay? I have sufficient funds and the purchase went through successfully. The transaction said pending for a few days. All of a sudden it completely disappeared. Any help or info would be appreciated!!
This is very common and not related to Apple Pay. I travel both domestically and internationally and >all< airlines get a pending approval for the tickets. The charge disappears usually within 5 days of the purchase. The charge will withdraw funds within 24 to 48 hours of your scheduled departure.
There are other travel related merchants that may do the same and this includes car rental and hotels. If you use a travel service like Experian, Price Line etc. it doesn’t disappear. This typically only happens with you make reservations directly with the provider of the service.

They will actually charge the card 72 to 24 hours before scheduled departure time.
Yeah I did. I bought international round tickets. The airline told me the transaction went through, and I did get the tickets. But my transaction disappeared on the second day of purchase. Apple Card had no clue about the transaction… They couldn’t even see the record. So I guess only thing I can do is to keep enough credits on my card for the transaction?
