If you need to dispute transactions made through Apple Pay, you can follow these steps:

  1. Review your transaction history: Start by reviewing your transaction history in the Wallet app or the associated credit or debit card app. Make sure to identify the specific transactions you want to dispute.
  2. Contact the merchant: Reach out to the merchant directly to discuss the issue and attempt to resolve it. You can typically find the merchant's contact information on their website or on the transaction receipt. Explain the problem and provide any relevant details or evidence to support your case.
  3. Contact your card issuer or bank: If you're unable to resolve the issue with the merchant, contact your card issuer or bank. Look for the customer service number on the back of your physical card or on the issuer's website. Inform them about the disputed transactions and provide any supporting documentation, such as receipts, emails, or screenshots.
  4. Initiate a chargeback: Depending on the circumstances, your card issuer may suggest initiating a chargeback. A chargeback is a process where your bank or card issuer disputes the transaction on your behalf. They will investigate the claim and may provide a temporary refund while the investigation is underway. Be prepared to provide any requested documentation or information during this process.
  5. Follow up and provide additional information: Stay in touch with your card issuer or bank and promptly provide any additional information they require during the investigation. This may include written explanations, evidence of communication with the merchant, or any other relevant details.
  6. Be aware of time limits: It's important to act promptly since there are time limits for disputing transactions. Different card issuers may have varying policies, but generally, you should report the disputed transaction within 60 days from the statement date where the transaction appears.

Remember to keep a record of all your communication, including dates, names of representatives you spoke with, and any reference numbers or case IDs provided. This documentation can be helpful if you need to escalate the dispute or provide further evidence later.

It's worth noting that the specific steps and policies can vary depending on your card issuer, bank, and the region you're in. Contacting your card issuer or bank directly will provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information on the dispute process for Apple Pay
