How to use oculus quest 2 on macos with a apple sillicon mac or newer?

Oculus does not acknowledge the existence of Apple-silicon graphics processors at all. Oculus has generally declined to acknowledge that ANY graphics chips short of those in the Mac Pro (intel) could support its device, and only under Windows.


So you will need some backpack-style straps for the 42 lb silver tower, and a really long power cord.


This is why the Apple Vision Pro, the complete system on your head with eyeballs interface, is not just 'an overpriced self-indulgence', but instead a really big deal.
