How to delete Award badges in the Fitness App?

Hi - is there a way to delete Award badges in the Apple Fitness App? I have tried:

  1. un-pairing my Apple Watch
  2. Deleting all Health App data, including deleting data related to other Apps like Komoot, Strava and Fitness, and including offloaded apps too. Like, I deleted all the data - EVERYTHING :-)
  3. Deleting the Fitness App
  4. Restarting my phone
  5. Reinstalling Fitness App
  6. Restarting my Apple Watch
  7. Pairing my Apple Watch with the phone not from backup, but from scratch

It's almost a fresh start which is what I wanted to achieve, but although some Award Badges have been cleared such as "100 Move Goals", a lot of the Award badges are still there - including my 'New Exercise Record: 1420 minutes" Award badge which I accidentally got by adding an incorrect data point into the health app for Stand Hours and now it thinks I was exercising for 24hrs straight (erm, nope).

The data is all gone, the Fitness App and Health App are starting from scratch, but I've still got this blasted 24hr Exercise Record badge which I'm never going to better.

Anyone know how to get rid of these darned badges?

Thanks

Thanks for the response - that's annoying that there's no method, fix or workaround for this. I can think of a few good reasons why people might want to be able to reset / delete

Have you tried this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252571852?answerId=254845396022&sortBy=best#254845396022 ?

"On your iPhone, open the Health app

Tap your profile picture in the health app iPhone.

Scroll down to the Privacy section

Under Privacy, tap Devices

Under the list of devices, you see all the sources for your health data. Each time you pair/unpair a watch it shows up as a new source, even if it’s the same watch

Tap on a listed device and scroll to the bottom and choose the option to Delete All Data from “Device Name”.

Tap Delete from the confirmation message to erase all data from this device

Repeat for all listed devices until you erase all your health data

When you delete all your health data from your iPhone, it resets your awards and badges on any paired Apple Watch.

The most comprehensive way to remove any fitness, activity, or other health data from your Apple Watch is to unpair your watch from your iPhone and then re-repair.

You’ll need to set it up as new or restore from an unencrypted iPhone backup via Finder or iTunes (iCloud always creates an encrypted backup.)"

I found a way that removed the specific award (the one for exercise minutes). But I am unsure if it will work for everyone or why it worked for me.

Disclaimer, this will probably only work if the award very recently just showed up.

In my context, after I removed the exercise minutes I noticed that my last iCloud backup to health was last night. My theory was that if I could restore from a non encrypted back up (without Apple Health data) my phone would be forced to use the iCloud version of health.

So I did the following steps:

  1. Do a non-encrypted backup of my iPhone via Mac/PC
  2. Unpair Apple Watch
  3. Wipe Phone
  4. Restore from Local Backup
  5. Go to the Health app and wait for the iCloud data to be downloaded.
  6. Delete iCloud sync for Health (turn off and delete as well for the iPad app, if you have one)
  7. Turn on iCloud sync for Health (to reupload what was downloaded)
  8. Pair again my Apple Watch

And nice, my data is all still there, the rest of my awards are still there. And the exercise award for 750minutes was removed and replaced with my other long exercise minute day. Only downside is that I was rolled back to yesterday’s data, which is better tho than starting from scratch.

Note: It does take a while for fitness to show the awards (few hours). My theory is when you reset your phone and then reset iCloud health, fitness will re-evaluate all the awards that belongs to you from the Health data.
