This problem continues as of Jan 9, 2023 and has recurred repeatedly in the several years I've had my Wyze scale. Regardless of the technical cause, it is Wyze' responsibility to fix their software since hundreds of other third party smart devices work seamlessly with AH continuously.
I've tried a dizzying array of workarounds such as these over the years and - at best - they only patch the problem temporarily. Frankly, I've given up on purchasing Wyze products in the future until this is definitely resolved.
