Cannot share iCloud+ with Family

I have a "Family" of 4 including me and I share 5 subscriptions (including a 2Tb iCloud storage), purchases sharing and location sharing. However 2 of the family cannot access iCloud+. One simply cannot access it (it is not an option) and another (Parent/ Guardian) does not appear as an option for me to share with despite being visible with all my other sharing options. Both of them are sharing Apple Music and Apple TV+ but can't get access to iCloud+.

Hi Kiwi-blue,

If you have members of your family not able to share your iCloud+ Storage, review Share iCloud+ with your family to check for the following:

  • Make sure your family members' devices meet the requirements under "Share iCloud+ with everyone in your family"
  • Check the iCloud+ Storage to see what is available and if it shows that they are using it by following the steps under "Check how much storage your family is using."
    • If they are using it, but not as much as expected, see what iCloud features they have turned on, on their personal device.
  • If they were using a plan outside of the free 5GB plan, follow "Switch from your personal iCloud+ plan to your family plan."

Hope this helps.

Take care.

Make sure that your device meets the system requirements

Thank you for your reply but it didn't make any difference :(

Everyone's software is the latest version but there are 2 different problems. One family member (other than me) has full access to all the subscriptions - Apple Music, Apple TV and iCloud+ (perfect!). One family member can access all the subscriptions but not iCloud+. A further family member can access all the subscriptions but is simply not available as an option to add iCloud+. It is not like like there is a common problem. And this last example has the latest iPhone, latest iPad and running the latest software.
