MacBook Air (13 inch, Early 2015 model) with Mac OS - X - Yosemite - Version 10.10.5

How do I upgrade my laptop to the current Mac OS - I used to update software and upgrade OS regularly and had no issues.

Recently I had to reset my laptop to factory settings and my OS has reverted to Mac OS - X - Yosemite - Version 10.10.5

Will be grateful for advice on how to get the latest OS. AppStore shows no software updates available for the current installed OS. Many thanks

Click here and then on the download link for a more-recent OS. Your computer's maximum one is Monterey.

I first downloaded MacOS - Sierra installer on my MacMini and airdropped it to my MacBookAir. Used this installer file to upgrade from Yosemite to Sierra.

Then using the updated Safari on MacOS - Sierra - I was able to download MacOS - Monterey and successfully install on my MacBookAir (2015 model).

Thank you very much Neil for your guidance.
