Hi, if I’ve forgotten the password for my MacBook and it isn’t connected to Wi-Fi is there any way that I can reset my password? Note, I know my Apple ID password but whenever I try to reset using Apple ID I get the message ‘There is a problem connecting to the Apple ID server’

At this rate, I would try to get an ethernet adapter for your MacBook and connect it directly to your modem with ethernet.
I never setup User accounts as AppleID accounts. As you can see the big downside of doing so is that those accounts are only accessible when internet is available.
Why are you not near any WiFi? Could you setup WiFi hotspot on your cell phone?
Thanks but unfortunately that option seems to need you to be connected to Wi-Fi. I keep getting the ‘cannot connect to Apple ID server’ message when I try to reset.
We have Wi-Fi but the problem is that the MacBook isn’t connecting automatically to the Wi-Fi and I can’t get into the MacBook to connect
