icloud photo uploads
Should it be taking all day to get my photos uploaded from my iphone to the icloud? I just signed up for icloud and I do have about 19, 000 photos. I can hardly notice any progress

Depending on the size of your library the initial sync can take days. Subsequent syncs are much faster. Plug in the phone overnight and leave it locked. You can check the status:
Open photos
Tap library
scroll to the bottom
You'll see a count of items and the current cloud status.
