Windows iCloud App deleted 10.000 photos!

Hi,

 I have a strange and frightening issue, while doing nothing special on my Windows 11 PC, I got the 'popup' from iCloud that there where photos removed from iCloud and I can find the in my recent removed folder.

After checking the recent deleted items on my iPhone I noticed there were more than

5.000 deleted photos! All with 29 days left to restore, so it just happened.  

I immediately restarted my pc to see if the removing of the photos stopped. But unfortunately the images kept removing and moved after the reboot! After a few minutes there already where 10.500 photos in the removed items folder! Only after logging of the iCloud App the removal stopped. 

I fully removed the iCloud app from my pc and now all looks fine again, and the recent removed folder on the phone and icloud.com does not grow anymore.

 Does anyone else have or had this same issue?
