Flashlight/camera on lock screen
I just acquired a refurbished iPhone 12 in excellent condition. However, the flashlight and camera icons on the lock screen are unresponsive. Is there anything I can do to bring them to life?
iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 16

Push the icons harder than you think you might need to push them. They don't do anything by a simple touch. They take some pressure to activate.

Brilliant! That did it—thank you! The flashlight won't turn off once I've turned it on, though, no matter how hard I bang the icon. Thankfully, Siri does it for me.
You can also control the flashlight from the Control Center. From the top right hand corner of your iPhone screen, swipe down and Control Center, will open. Tap the flashlight icon to turn on or turn off.
Ah, lovely! I didn't know about being able to open the Control Center that way. Thanks so much!
You're welcome.
