latest Ventura update

I have tried to install the update Ventura 13.4.1 using various methods to no avail (Current Ver 13.4). All attempts fail "Failed to personalise the software update. Please try again.” "An error occurred while downloading the selected updates. Please check your internet connection and try again.” needless to say the internet connection is absolutely fine. I’ve tried Recovery to reinstall but again it fails. I’ve tried directly from the App Store same result. The time required starts at 2hr54min then rises to 4hrs 55mins and fails.

Then after about 5 mins

After about 45m

Ran Mac diagnostic and it came back that the system was functioning with no problems.

Out of ideas

Mac mini, macOS 13.4

Thankyou all for your help as I have now managed to complete the update. I used the terminal command as suggested by P. Phillips and after it returned that the downloaded been installed successfully, the update started automatically, unfortunately with the same result. I went to the applications folder and noticed that the "Install macOS Ventura.app” was dated the 15th June which I assumed meant that for some reason it had not been over written. I copied the app to an external drive and then deleted it from the MacHD. I then repeated the terminal installation. On completion of the download the upgrade didn’t start automatically so I looked in the apps folder and saw that the installer was there with todays date and time installed. Ran the app and Bingo I’m now the proud owner of Ventura 13.4.1.

Terminal command below should download the Full Version of Ventura 13.4.1 and only place a " Install Ventura App " in applications folder

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 13.4.1

I assume the user is referring to this file: /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist

If deleting the .plist file solves the issue please post back.

Various methods. Can you not simply make the update selection in System Settings?

Thanks but that was the first method tried it returned "Failed to personalise the software update. Please try again.” I have never had any problems upgrading since since I bought it new.
