I upgraded my Macbook to OS 13.4.1 and again have sync issues across my devices. This time it's Messages. I cannot send a message from my Macbook and messages sent from my iPhone do not show up on my Macbook. Incoming messages will appear on my iPhone but not Macbook.
And as usual, I suspect but haven't verified that my podcasts on my iPhone have been all messed up, too. That's usually what happens after "upgrades."

If that doesn't help, we'd recommend checking to ensure that you are signed in with the same Apple ID for messages on both devices. If the issue continues we'd recommend disabling iMessage on both devices, then restarting your devices and turning Messages back on to see if that resolves the issue.

This was not too helpful because it describes setting up the devices. My question was more about what caused a previously working texting system to stop working after making upgrades to my OS. I eventually got things to work as before the upgrades. I don't know what I did but things are back to where they are supposed to be.
