Unable to manage file permissions

How do I fix the "You have unknown Access" problem at the end of the directory path when all preceding directories and/or files have "Read & Write" permission for everyone?

Hmmm, odd, well, it may have something to do with your upgrade path, from HFS to APFS, the permissions are different and that is likely the problem, what I’d say you do is this, barring any of the other solutions do not resolve your issue. Back up the files, excluding the ones you want to delete to a Time Machine snapshot from your old iMac and then just restore what you want to keep.

It was a holdover from migrating from a 2017 iMac to a new Mac Mini… I had been trying to sort through some of what appeared to be duplicated files. These came from what appeared to somehow be from the older iMac… also involved “core duet” which info said was from an app that wasn’t being used anymore and not needed. So… it and subdirectories ended up in trash… big mistake going off on that tangent!
