I have set incoming call announcements to never been rebooted, then set it to always, but still no announcement.

So what's the secret incantation?

Start by ensuring that the call announcement feature is enabled on your iPhone. Go to "Settings," then "Phone," and select "Announce Calls." From there, make sure the desired option, such as "Always," "Headphones & Car," or "Never," is selected.

There are a few reasons why incoming call announcements might not be working on your iPhone. Here are some things you can check:

  • Make sure that Announce Calls is turned on. Go to Settings > Siri & Search > Announce Calls and make sure that the Announce Calls switch is turned on.
  • Make sure that your iPhone is connected to a speaker or headset. Announce Calls will only work if your iPhone is connected to a speaker or headset that can output audio.
  • Make sure that your iPhone is not in silent mode. If your iPhone is in silent mode, Announce Calls will not work.
  • Restart your iPhone. Sometimes, a simple restart can fix software issues. To restart your iPhone, press and hold the Power button and the Volume Down button at the same time until you see the Apple logo.
