Seeing New Posts Without Refreshing
Hey!
Is there a way I can get the community page to refresh automatically without me having to refresh the page? I know people answer very quickly, and I'm curious how.
Windows, Windows 10

If you keep the list of your subscriptions open, there will be a banner above the list that will tell you with some degree of reliability, that there new posts in the threads you've subscribed to. You can then refresh the page to see them.
To see your list of subscriptions, click on your avatar in the upper right corner of the page and select "My Subscriptions".
I agree with Allan that speed is not necessarily a virtue. There will always be more than enough posts to answer.

Haha!
I only use my iPhone. I don’t mind it at all!
But you have to set the AA zoom thing all the way out to 50% to somewhat properly be able to use ASC, and to view the necessary info, such as views, etc.
This alone could be an issue for older people, and people who are far sighted, because everything’s pretty tiny!
For example:
50% (The max. zoom out)
100% (Default)
In a Mac running Safari, I get fresh pages when I go back the the Topic List for each forum section. If you are Windows please tell us what browser you use.

Two things:
1) There is an anti-spam measure in place to prevent attacks like we've seen in the past. That places limits on how many times a minute a new signee can post. As you continue to participate, that limit is lifted.
2) "Fast" posters are big problem around here. They too often fail to read previously correct posts resulting in duplication, or they read so fast they fail to comprehended the poster's question and post hugley inappropriate advice. "Fast" is not a virtue here.
This place is about helping other, not getting points.
Why do you have to sign in so often?
I only have to sign in once per day, then I just leave the browser open. But know one thing: Once you’ve signed in, never tap the back arrow or go back right after.
That will only make you sign in again. Just go to your subscriptions, and then on to whatever community you like. Or straight to the community, etc. of course, you can go back then, but don’t go back right after signing in.
When you run into this, you’ll understand what I mean.
Thanks. I don’t try to be super fast. I just seem to notice that other users have already replied and answered by the time I even see the post. I was just curious how.
Thanks though!

Oh yes, I've seen that too, but I'm the slowest typist in the building! 😉
Think you’re slow? I used to do this on phone… I’m actually replying on phone right now.
Wow! I so get it!
It’s aggravating though, because I have to sign in like every 5 seconds on iPhone…
The iOS interface, while it has improved, is still inferior to the computer version.
