AirDrop doesn’t send Live Photos

I have a problem. When I send my photos from iPhone to my M1 Mac via AirDrop, it only sends still images. I am aware I need to “Open in Photos”, not “Accept”, but both devices are on the same AppleID so the pop-up doesn’t show up. This worked about a year ago, nothing has changed and I now have a year of non-Live photos.

Can anyone help? Thanks
