I was told by an internet service provider that using the block for my iPad Pro charger should NOT be used to charge my iPhone 13, even though the cable provided with my iPhone 13 fits into the iPad Pro charging block. What the heck? Please advise. If it’s going to damage my phone, why does it fit and why didn’t it come with a very obvious warning?

This Support Article says the opposite of what the ISP said: Charge your iPhone with the USB power adapter of an iPad or Mac laptop - Apple Support.
An iPhone draws power. It will only draw what it needs.
